Ece Haskan

Illustrator & Artist

Ece Haskan is one of the artists who interpreted the theme ‘Resonate' within HOOD Base x KAFT collaboration. Ece is our guest of this interview series, focusing on the production practices of artists from different fields.

1. How do you define yourself?

I define myself as an illustrator and an artist.

2. Where is your happiest place to work?

I’ve been working in my personal workshop for the last year, and I’m happy to work in my own space. Besides that, when making digital paintings, I enjoy working anywhere in nature, near the sea or in a forest.

3. What are the ingredients of your survival kit?

Certainly I have my graphic tablet, my pens and my notebooks. Also, kitchen and food items are essential to me.

4. Are there any recurring images in your works?

I mostly use body parts. I implement parts as eyes, arms, hands and feet.

5. If your design for KAFT x HOOD Base's "Resonate" series was a playlist of 3 songs, which tracks would be in it?

All Related - Nessi Gomes
Into the Earth - Nessi Gomes
A Tribe Called Katori - Oliver Koletzki

6. Where and which moments do you feel resonated on the same wavelength or frequency with the planet?

I feel in the same frequency in the state of unconditional love. We share the same frequency when we can unconditionally love a stone, rain clouds or a person, and treat everything and everyone equally. In a world without adjectives or labels, where we love each other unconditionally.

7. How can people follow you?
